By default, Photoshop remembers only twenty previous actions (undo).But some user want to increase numbers of undo while doing work. This tutorial is about how to increase undo preferences in Adobe Photoshop and has been tested in PS CS4, CS5, and CS6.This will let you set the number of “states” of your document that Photoshop remembers, thereby setting the number of times Photoshop allows you to “undo.” Follow the steps below and change undo settings in Adobe Photoshop as you wish.
1. Launch Photoshop.

2. Click Edit from Top
And Go to -> Preferences -> Performance.
Alternatively, you can press Ctrl + K on your keyboard to quickly open the Preferences window and choose Performance on the left side.
On the right-side pane, under the History & Cache section, find the History States option. This option will let you change the number of undo you can perform.
3. Click the small arrow and move the slider to the right side to change the number of history states (or levels of undo) as shown above.
You can also manually fill in the number if you wish. Photoshop can remember up to 1000 history states.
4. When you are done, hit OK at the top of the window to save the setting.
